Spyderco SPOT
I got my hands on a spot just recently - its a second so no sheath meaning Ill either have to make one or get one made.
I have medium sized hands, and for my size hands I think it could have been about 5mm odd longer. Even though it has a great shape and overall design, and I really like the punyol - Im not sure that the punyol on the spot could be used for anything? I can find no safe grip at all on the knife that leaves enough punyol exposed in my size hands.
Without a sheath I cant comment on access, it certainly feels like once the finger finds the hole its going to snap nicely into the hand.
I also imagine that a spot would be nigh on impossible to be stripped / disarmed - or at least if it is stripped, I imagine a finger is going with it.

The Warncliffe Swick run should be available in early March.
It will be available with no sheath and no scales. Sold through SFO like the Mule Team.
You'll have to get an aftermarket sheath.

Yes, it is pretty hard to dislodge or drop a SPOT. The Fred Perrin Finger hole also permits one to use your fingers while holding the knife as the fingers are freed up.

I do have sheaths from the last Swick run. After speaking with Sal the last run was .155 in thickness and the new run is .125 making it .030 thinner making the new run less tight of a fit in the sheath. As George showed earlier on the spot, there is plenty on the knife to get a secure hold on the knife and still use the FP hole. Seeing as the swick is lighter now I see no reason why it could not be carried as a neck knife and with the Spyderco G-Clip it could be carried on the belt or pocket also.

Newbie here, so I hope this hasn't already been answered.. will this be the last run of Swicks Spyderco will make?
