That's a steal in anyone's language. Even if it is the T-Mag !!!! :D ;)

Unfortunately with the Pacific Peso (a.k.a. Aussie Dollar ) at an all time low it seems this boon has come at an inopportunte time for my bank balance :( Otherwise I too would've got a couple.

More for the rest of your eh ? :p

I had to get in on the deal and order one. I wonder if I could have just driven to the SFO and got it without paying the shipping charge. 8 bucks for S&H seemed high for 10-12 miles distance.

I have never handled one, but I believe it is suffering the same fate as a lot of artists, authors and discontinued Spyderco models. It is unappreciated in it's own time. Like tonydahose said, in a few years new collectors will be looking for them. They'll just have to dig up this old thread and beg us to part with ours :D :D

The magnet lock was not what a lot of us were looking for.

I had one and sold it...

If you search the forum you will see some threads about it.

Thanks for the heads-up. My T-Mag alternates with a ZDP Horn for pocket time, so I jumped on the chance to pick up a spare on the cheap.
However, it is a "peculiar" knife which explains why it never developed much of a following among Spydernuts.

I just snagged one also. I have liked the looks of this knife since I got into :spyder: about a year ago, but would never pay $120-$150 for a knife with so many mixed reviews. I figure if I don't like it it will be easy to sell for the $50 to a forumite who missed out on the sale.
That being said I am looking forward to trying it out.

This news was my wakeup call this morning. Friend of mine who works at a knife shop calls me and says that there's $50 T-Mags at SFO and could I grab one for him as well (cause he knew I'd get one). I ordered four :o

Thanks for the tip, just ordered one. Has alot of similarities to the sage, and I love my Sage and really want to try out a non-locking spyderco, couldn't pass this up!

Based on reviews I think it's more like a semi-locking folder ;) But with the choil and choil jimping it shouldn't be a big problem.

Any concern about the powerful magnet messing up credit cards?

I often keep a thin wallet in my front pocket - the same pocket where I clip my knife if I'm carrying one.

I'm still being tormented, on one hand I've set rules for myself that I will not be a collector and I probably won't use it due to the weak "lock", but other other hand, s30v carbon fiber titanium for $75...

If you watch the youtube link there is a paper warning that comes with the tmag. It says something to the effect of keep away from credit cards, medical equipment and electronic devices. So yes it probably will hurt your cards!
