I think I accidentally discovered Spyderco only around 18 months ago or something like that. Early 2007 ???? Jan 2007 ??? Ladybug, Chinook II and Native III :p

I think I might have 1 or 2 more than that now ;)

Judging from my forum posts, I got my first Spydie (a VG-10 Caly 3) on 29 August 2007. It was love at first sight. :)

So count me in for about 11 months. Though I guess I was excited about Spyderco during the 3-4 months ogling them prior to that first purchase.

Funny, since it feels so much longer...

Mid-1990's started using a CE Delica underground in a gold mine. So impressed with the little bugger I now have a stable of Spydies.

I bought my first Spydie in 1996, an SE SS Police, but the infection didn't really take untill 1999/2000 or so when I got my Military.

Hi There,

My first Spydie was a C18 PS Wayne Goddard Jr.
And I think i bought it somewhere in the late Eighties, in a shop in s'Hertogenbosch called Yankee.
This shop is still my preferd supplier of Spyderco's, great guy's. ;)
I still own that C18, it will not leave my collection.

kind regards,

Werner

Spyderco earned my respect about three years ago, when I bought my Sharpmaker and sharpen my Emerson right after I watched DVD.
About three month later I fall in love with Kopa Coco and decided to buy all Kopas, still working on it. :)

I got got my first 2 Delica 4s this year but I think I'm going to be hooked. They're the best knives I've ever owned.

I have only been a fan of Spyderco knives for about a year. I carried SAK's and older style slipjoints off and on for years, but last year decided I want a more modern knife, and the rest is history....just like my money ;) :D

The funny thing is a friend of mine tried to get me interested in Spyderdo knives about ten years ago. He had some FRN (I think) SE model. I told him it looked like way more knife than I needed, Ha!

The Renegade did it to me. Not sure what year, but I have been in love with that knife since.

For me it was in 2001 (I think), when I got my first Spydie. And I was sold instantly. It was the beginning of a wonderful friendhip :)

Sometime around summer of 2000, it was a Lightweight Jess Horn original edition. Gave about $60 for it new at SMKW and thought I was spending my life savings. Kinda funny now.

Hello to all. I bought my first about 5 months ago (NativeIII) and quickly forgot about my gerbers, and Kershaws...kind of. Since then I have purchased a Salt 1 PE and a Crossbill SE. And I find myself still drooling over different models. What I want to know if there is an addictive chemical in the blades/handles that makes me want to buy more Spyderco knives. :D Its a conspiracy!

The native has been one of the best knives I've owned to date. I can only imagine how the higher end spydies will perform.

Had to be 1994. A college roommates of mine bought a Police and a Endura. My wife to be picked up a Delica. That left me standing without a Spyderco, so it's been Rescues (and others) ever since.

Wow, I feel really out of it! :(

Some people here have been into Spydercos for, like, DECADES!

I just discovered the wonderful beauty of all things Spyderco a few months ago. It's like a blindfold has been removed from my eyes and suddenly I can see! :D :D :D

I guess I shouldn't feel too bad - I just discovered MP3s recently but I totally missed MP1s and MP2s. :o
