The Lava should do well with different offerings, it is a versatile little bugger. I............for what it is worth love the current configuration, but variations are good. Keep the Lava flowing forumites! :D

I would buy at least one of each lava variation if it were made : ) I wish it would be strongly considered as a candidate for a variant ;) Either handle G-10 or FRN or both - I would get them for sure

I would buy a G-10 or FRN lava no question about it.
I love the design of the lava more than any other knife

How about Native 3-style FRN with wire clip? I think the slight ''palm'' swells and wire clip would be sweeet!

The word is out...the people want more Lava, new Lava, variations of Lava...!

I'd get one of each...G10 and FRN...sounds like the FRN is the more practical way to go...but I do like the idea of a compression lock! ...how about an FRN w/a comp lock...that would be WAY cool...! :D

Yeah...

Linerless G10 in the style of the Dodo would be sweet.

I would love to see the return of the Blue G10 from the Dodo/Yo... or maybe some more Orange G10 ????

Ditto. G10, FRN, or even CF from China (I don't really care where it's made, at this point. :)

I wouldn't mind a G10 version, and I think Chad's idea of having it in China might help, given the sales and reviews of the Tenacious. Wouldn't mind having it as a comp lock, but I'm just worried that there might not be enough space if the Lava stays at its current size and shape. Maybe Chad's larger Lava plan might work? :D

I am glad to see more people on board for FRN

However, I am surprised there are not more requests for H1 steel

I think the secure choils of the lava would lend itself well in wet/water environments. Plus it would be great to have LBK SALT.

I am in for new scales on the Lava, G10 or FRN... I'd prefer if the backlock stays, but that's just me.

On the other hand, what would be the point of H1 over VG-10???

Aside from rust-resistance... and I have yet to see any corrosion on my VG-10 blades (probably a moot point if production moves to China, steel will likely be 8CR13etal).

Speaking of comp lock, maybe they should merge this knife with the "s" and build it in Taiwan. I'm thinking a webby "s" style handle w/ wire clip, but with a solid vg10/s30v blade. The knife would be both visually striking (hence increasing its market share) while also cutting down on weight and reducing slipperiness. Any thoughts? Would this be cheaper to produce than an FRN/ G10 version?

Another idea I had was for krayton inserts ala Stretch I. How much would that add to the cost?

Ya know, I think a SE FRN lava would be quite the little cutter. I might be one of the few rooting for SE though :p
