So, should we dealers call Spyderco sales yet and get in line, or wait until it's official?

I must assume that CF Civilian is not in my hands before next year .

Well Chinese folder will ease my itch.

I'm considering the "CF" Civilian an "if" and not a "when," since I've been told it's a wee bit premature for me to go placing orders for them. And getting a special run of several hundred knives from the factory is probably a process measured in weeks and months, not days and weeks.

A couple of cautions: First, the Civilian itself is a knife that has a special "not for everyone" appeal, and the enthusiasts in the knife forums on the Web may or may not be enough by ourselves to make a special run make sense. Also, carbon fiber is not the easiest material to get right, and actually have it look and feel better than G10. I've met some CF versions of factory knives that I considered good buys at a close-out discount, but would have been disappointed if I'd paid anything close to "list."

Even if we began today, there would not be anything available for 4 -5 months. Patience will be required.

Hit me up again in December. I'll let you know the how.

Wow! I must be careful not to check this forum too often! I have to buy studybooks and pay tuition fees, oh well I 'll just write it up as part of my American Studies program . I would like one left handed Civilian, fully serrated please!
