Well spoken Zen (the whole linerlock issue).....I'll buy a linerlock.....if it's a Spyderco! ;)
I'm quite fond of the strength of the C.R. integral linerlock on the Spin, SS Cricket, and SS ATR's that I have....mine are "bombproof"! :D

i've decided that i'm going to either wait for the ZDP Chinese Folder or track down a green one, i love the green but want to try out a ZDP blade so i'm kinda torn.

Hmmm, reading this thread makes me wonder if I should sell my Ti Lum Tanto or hang onto it....

I think I should post a list of models in my collection and then see what people feel the values are for them. Then I can decide if I am going to put things on sale or not :)

Well, while you guys debate the merits of the liner lock, titanium, etc...

I think I will just head on over to Cumberland and see if I can pick of up a couple of those very reasonably priced rare spydies. :D :D :D

I will not start anything about locks but a well made linerlock is just as good as any other locks. I have a Kevin Wilkins linerlock( more than twice as thick as anybody else liner lock) mouse and it has yet to fail on me!!!

i'd also be interested in a non black bladed normal Lum Tonto folder but they seem even harder to find than the Ti.

Yeah I wonder which had more produced, the Ti or the Steel. Likely the steel, the reason you probably see more Ti on ebay is due to the price they are commanding. The higher the going rate, the more likely someone is likely to sell some old safe queen Ti model.

Keep your eyes peeled, it will show up eventually. If it sells for crazy price, 3 to 4 more will pop up, it not, it will be awhile before another one goes. This is on eBay of course. Heck, just start a thread about the regular one...I have an ongoing theory that links our threads to ebay sales. You get a thread where 3-4 people are wishing they had one and crying about how hard it is to find, and magically about 4 days later one or two come up for sale on eBay.

coming from action figure collecting (i see you snickering in the corner, stop that) i have long since vowed to never pay more than retail for things. i will NOT buy any spyderco for more than retail no matter how much i want it. i'm hoping i get lucky.

edit:
oh and in the action figure world we call people buying things just to resell them at inflated price "scalpers" and they are much hated. i assume in the knife market the same BS goes down.

I'm pretty sure that John F. Jensen has the G-10 tanto in CE and blk blade. I'm pretty sure he has SE green Chinese Lums, too!

The satin finish in G-10 is hard to come by for a reasonable price.

Scalpers? Well that wasn't what I meant but no worries. I have a few MIB "Action Figures" myself. My favorite is my LotR Cave Troll...he is so cute. :p

Usually I refuse to pay even retail for knives and when something that I want is just way up there...no way...."Dyad" cough cough, "Spyderhawk" cough cough. More power to anyone lucky enough to sell one at the cwazee prices though.

I got one of the MIB black ones from JFJ...if you like Tantos it is golden! The SE is just insanly toothy on it.
