it would be definitely better with a spyderhole, H1 blade, G10 handle and a shackle tool :D
i wouldn't trust ATS 34 to be rust resistant enough.
sea is **** for knives, paradise for us :D

What about the rest of us
But what about those of us who sail around in beaten up old sailing dinghies :) .STR wrote: I guess that is just pocket change when you drive around in luxury boats or million dollar yachts though.
Sounds good Joyce but I hope you can get the price down. This is one knife I've been lusting after for a long time.
cheers

I just ordered one of the Seamaster knives today, as I have been waiting around for the Yachtsman to appear for about 6 years.
The Seamaster will have to tide me over until Spyderco coughs out their Sailor knife. When I can get around to it, I will post a review of the Russell knife.
All sounds good on the current Sailor design except I would prefer titanium handle, although I know G-10 would be more practical in a cold, wet situation.

That's what I'm talking about!
I just had a look at the AG Russell "Seamaster" for the first time. It is a pretty impressive knife all round but the thing I like the most is the the serrations on the front of the blade rather than the back. That has always made a lot of sense to me and I hope :spyder: will consider it for the Yachtsman. The only thing I don't like is the price, that's a lot of knife to loose overboard.
