I believe Stare must be describing his "Lightweight" Calypso Jr. as he refers to it's VG-10 steel. The Micarta version uses AUS-8.

Stare - Sounds like I don't need to think much before buying the Native that I've been planning to buy. Is yours a 35/65 serrated or a plain edge? Is is the Zytel or stainless version? The lightweight Zytel version is the one I want to get. I think I'll probably buy the serrated version as my plain edges are really piling up. Glad to hear you're so happy with yours.

Get a SpyderCard. I carry one in my wallet, and it's unobtrusive when going through airports, for example. In the office I usually have a serrated Dragonfly for opening UPS packages. Fridays (dress-down day)I carry a micarta Wayne Goddard.
