Concerning the Lil' T - there is for some time a question at different forums about a 'one folder for survival'. My choice was a Lil' T for the following reasons
Spyderco's Lil' Temperance, S30V, leaf blade.
Why?
Although there are many good folders, BM 710HS, 806D2, ...,
Spyderco Manix, Chinook, ATR, .., Strider, Sebenza, etc., I prefer the Lil'T because
1. One of the strongest compression locks - liners are nested inside the G-10 handles, MBC rated.
2. A flat 4mm thick blade - a perfect cutter.
3. an excellent S30V steel.
4. open handles - very easy to clean!
5. a lock is very simple - just a liner that gets compressed.
6. the highest fit and finish - works smoothly.
7. handle ergonomics

Now, there are choices I mentioned, certainly good, but I would take it cum grano salis. Axis lock is perfect, but in survival situation, how would you clean the lock, or exchange a broken omega spring? Sebenza has a heavy duty lock, I would prefer a MBC rated one. Chinook and Manix - lockbacks, more difficult to clean. Etc.

I have 2 of the Lil' Temperances. Both however are in 440V. Hey wait a minute before you criticize the 440V I challenge any of you to sharpen a blade of that when it is really dull. I must admit I got my first Spyder with 440V a month ago and couldn't believe how great that blade steel is. The S30V is a bit better but not by a great deal. I have both blade variations also: I have the "trailing point" ( which is like a little bowie) and I have the leaf shaped blade as well. Both are PE. No neither one of my Lil' Temperances are for trade; thank you very much. They are keepers for sure. :spyder: :)

I Wanted To Add Lil Tank With Big Tank. The Temp And The Manix Two Superior Knives And A Nice Size Comparison. The Manix Is A Full Size Knife.

Franco G, I Would Tend To Agree With You But I Feel The Ti Atr Might Just Be Better For That Situation, For All The Same Reasons But I Would Want A Bigger Knife If It Was Only One For Survival.

WORKER#9,

well, you know, the Manix has a cutting edge only about 6mm (1/4") larger then the Lil' T. I own a Lil' T - my dilema is: what would I get more if I buy a Manix? Blade shape is the same, both are MBC rated, but the Lil' T is more high tech, with better fit and finish.

ATR might be a good idea. However, I don't have any experience with it.

Franco I Own A Manix, Atr Ti And A Lil Temp. But Of The Three The Only One To See Edc Is The Lil Temp. So If I Did Get Caught In A Survival Situation I Guess The Lil Temp Would Win Because I Carry It! That Is Why I Love The Lil Temp. Small Package Big Knife.
