Thanks! Glad you got a kick out of that.

I actually didn't even realize I captured that picture until I was uploading them here. Figured it was one I had to share.
They were breeding in big numbers in that flooded section of the reservoir. I saw well over a dozen toads in about a ten foot radius.

This mockingbird was so loud at the Taco Bell drive thru the attendant couldn’t make out what I was saying so I drove around and she told me she’s telling everyone in the future if there’s a bird on top of the menu just come to the window… turns out they’re nesting in the bushes behind the sign

Too funny ! We have a Cardinal nest and a Blackcap Chickadee nesting and have discouraged two Robin nestings . We heard our first male Wren singing checking out houses this week . Dan

I need to get out in the woods and find some pileateds myself; mainly been seeing downys, red bellies, and flickers around the house.

No problem. We have 4 I think. I know I’ve seen 3 near my bird feeder and another knocking on a nearby tree. They’re pretty big.
