I don't think edge to handle ratios matter at all. Give me a thick, titanium heavyweight 2.5" blade with a 5" handle. Get that tip away from the butt end. Give it a choil too. Make sure it has the safest lock around, the compression lock.

Thank you 0002 for this reassuring news, the great 0001 doesn't seem like the type to arbitrarily double tap local fauna. For over a decade now I have realized that most rumors are just that.

Our challenge: Will we be able to keep this thread alive, in the absence of our dear leader, until it reaches 100 pages? Currently on page 96. That's a lot of silliness that needs to happen between now and then. I hope we are up to the task. Somebody needs to make a Monty Python joke or something.

Yay! A new inadvertent member! Welcome, #0048! I hope this life-changing happenstance is as significant for you as it was for me. Since becoming a member of the MNOSD, my vacuum bags need changing less often, milk seems to last longer in the fridge, and I'm finding a lot less lint in the dryer trap. Expect amazing things to happen!
