The more I look the more that Millie 2 tempts me! I want one, but I'm also saving up for a couple of other Spydies, like the straight razor (a must have!). Still, this one speaks to me.

I hear you Thomas, it speaks to me louder and louder. As much as I am faithful to the original Millie, I have to admit that the new Millie is a more refined design. I only hope they won’t use the so called “pivot bushing” in the comp lock and just pb washers. That “pivot bushing” requires very tight tolerances in order to avoid lateral blade play. I don’t need my blades to drop shot so pb washers are good enough for me.

I find myself in the same boat. Not sure why though. I owned a Military for all but two days before returning it to the vendor. I thought it was too big. I have a PM2, but hardly carry it due to the horrible milling pattern those aluminum scales (and local knife restrictions). But there is something about this knife. Every so often I see a knife that strikes me out of the blue (P4 LW and Lil' Temp 3 LW are the most recent examples).
I only hope they won’t use the so called “pivot bushing” in the comp lock...
I have absolutely zero information about the internals of this knife, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I think they will reuse the PM2 pivot. Reusing a part saves time and money, which might help explain the reduced cost of the Military 2.

Nishijin is a favourite of mine. Lets hope it doesnt come in Cruwear.

They use the bushing pivot in both the PM2 and the current CQI military so if I had to place a bet today, id say it’ll be the same pivot in the military 2.

Any Lil Native variant is a must buy for me so I’m in for both the wharnie and LW. I’m expecting to like the Microjimbo to a similar degree. It looks like such an awesome little knife!

And that’s all folks, I shared every pixel I could from these excellent new Spyderco offerings. I have no other imagery to share with you. Thank you all so much for watching and all the kind words. I’ll go over the thread in the next few days to see if there are any questions that I could help answer, if my fellow meet attendees didn’t answer them already.
Thanks!

On the MicroJimbo:
Blade: 1.97 inch / 50 mm = so the blade is more or less the same length as the Manbug/Ladybug? (1.95" (49mm) )
I hope this is a typo... that would be quite disappointing if true. I remember last year, that the rumors were for the blade to be 2 and a half inches.
sal, feel free to pitch away. Thanks for keeping us updated. The "MicroJimbo" will have a 2 1/2" blade and a full size handle if I remember right, has that changed?
I think on all other aspects, especially the more chamfered corners (please Sal, do this for all Golden G-10 models!) this is a home run for Mike Janich.

I believe it was just a typo. Based on the videos posted by Wouter, the Microjimbo is visibly larger than the Manbug and to my perception the blade looks to nearly match the Lil Native blade length. (2.47”)

Thanks for the perceptive spot regarding the Micro's blade length compared to the LN. That would be an instant buy for me if it really is near LN blade length!
