When I got my first CRK it had a lanyard on it and I left it on there for a couple days to see what it was all about (I've never used one before) My wife saw it and said something like "aww, that's a cute little boondoggle on your knife. Not very manly though" I immediately had to google what this word was. Wasn't the only reason I removed it, but it helped make the process quicker haha!Spydergirl88 wrote: βTue Oct 12, 2021 12:07 pmIf you change scales often it's way easier to deal with than a press fit lanyard tube. Iβve twice noticed lost pivot screws on Ladybugs β just Ladybugs. As Iβm sure youβll know, a quick email will get you a replacement.
Again, itβs a Ladybug. Specifically a Superblue Sprint. That one hurts but Iβm pretty sure itβs somewhere in my mother-in-lawβs house. We havenβt talked in a few years because family drama, and literally the only reason I wish to reconcile at this point is so I can rummage through her couch cushions.

They're currently in production.

I get it. I don't use lanyards either but the lanyard tube doesn't bother me. Plus I think the plug looks kind of weird. I also don't change the scales on my knives like clothes on a Barbie doll. When I do take a PM2 or Para 3 apart I sand the flared ends of the tubes down to make it easier to put them back together and take apart next time.Spydergirl88 wrote: βTue Oct 12, 2021 12:07 pmIf you change scales often it's way easier to deal with than a press fit lanyard tube. Different scales can make or break a knife!! I can't believe you don't have any scale swapped knives!! I'm learning a lot the past few days...Pat doesn't like swapping scales, Josh has never sharpened a knife....what's next, David going anti SE and Warty no longer caring about edge length!?!Sharp Guy wrote: βTue Oct 12, 2021 2:09 pmI get it. Hahaha, I feel you. It's fun to play dress up!Spydergirl88 wrote: βTue Oct 12, 2021 2:17 pmWell sometimes my knife wants to be an astronaut and then other times she wants to go to a beach party with her friends...
I never said I've never swapped scales on any of my knives. I have at least 3 or 4 knives with aftermarket scales. I just said I don't change their clothes as often as you would a Barbie dollsTkoK83Spy wrote: βTue Oct 12, 2021 2:13 pmDifferent scales can make or break a knife!! Not to mention date night with Ken....Spydergirl88 wrote: βTue Oct 12, 2021 2:17 pmWell sometimes my knife wants to be an astronaut and then other times she wants to go to a beach party with her friends...
I tried the simple route of just cutting mine off, but then the tube rattled like crazy. One pinhead drop of super glue solved that, didn't even have to disassemble. Chalked that up as a small win in the knife life...though CRK's are extremely easy to take apart.

Yep that's how I've done it. Then I chuck the lanyard tube up in a drill and sand the flare off each endkobold wrote: βTue Oct 12, 2021 3:38 pmSharp Guy wrote: βTue Oct 12, 2021 2:09 pmI get it.
