I just got my CF/S90V in today and I've very happy with it, super lightweight and excellent cutter. Very pleased to get a Golden model that is centered and has a symmetrical grind, none of the issues I've had with the last 4 or 5 Golden models. I hesitated for a bit because of the price but I'm really glad I jumped on this one. Great sprint.
Finally.... i'm happy now.... till the next sprint or exclusive :D
Cool! Where did you buy it?

But they don't do international shipping. UK only. Should be good for all the UK guys. To be honest before deep searching for Native Chief in Rex 45 I've never heard about this shop, but they are adamant - shipped it quickly.
Any one else's s90v one super gritty, and their Rex45 super smooth? I've been opening and closing my s90v one repeatedly the past couple days and it's getting better. Love both of them!

Mine's the same. S90v feels more "tight" than rex45. I'm sure they'll get better with time.

My REX 45 was slightly tight but smooth. It's pretty perfect now and locks up firmly.
If you can, let us know how the two sharpen and what kind of edge you get off of them. I've never owned a knife in S90V.
I don't have any experience with rex45 so it will be interesting. As far as s90v goes it's not that hard as some people say. It just needs patience because it requires more passes on the stone. But then again I don't let my knives to be completely blunt to the point you need a coarse diamond stone to fix or reset the bevel. And I don't go more than 3K grit on my stone. Usually my knives need just stropping or a dozen of passes at 3K. Worst case 1K and then 3K.

With mine its where the lock rides against the tang that's creating excess friction, rather than friction from the washers or pivot (blade drops free with the lock held down). I've probably opened and closed it another 400 times since I last posted while in meetings (zoom) and cleaned it a few times. I'm going to give it another couple days of playing with it and see what happens. Then will tear it all the way apart for a detail cleaning and see if some polishing would help (easy to spot because it'll show wear marks).
LOVE this knife. Will be going into my carry rotation for sure.

Might be a while for me to have feedback. I'm doing the opposite of most, and have been letting several knives with super steels get really dull (which takes a while ha) to really see how they perform. I mostly cut cardboard, and despite the massive amount of boxes delivered to my house that I cut up, it took like 6 months to kill my s110v PM2. I expect these to take a while to get there too. I'll put these through the paces once I dull my Maxamet PM2.
So... Sometime like 2 years from now I'll sit down with my Wicked Edge, a pile of knives, reprofile and sharpen all of them, then make a thread with my thoughts. Haha! :D
