In the spirit of getting this back on track, even though it’s not a spyderco deal... cutleryandmore is offering their own branded kitchen line in bd1n at 63 hrc for some pretty incredible prices right now for the holidays. I haven’t personally used one, but I ordered one recently and had it shipped to supersteel Steve to test and give his opinion on. If he says it’s as great a deal as I think, I’ll probably buy another for my parents.

I actually got a Rex45 Para 3 from them on Black Friday, was definitely worried about it being a return...which it very well may have been, but it arrived in pristine condition to my surprise.

I was also able to grab the para 3 on Black Friday and had the same concern but mine was new and flawless as well. Very much appreciate this thread and your heads up today as I was able to grab the pm2 to go with it, super pleasant surprise to luck into two I missed originally in a steel I didn't own but also didn't want to shell out the secondary market cash for. aaronkb, I can't remember ever getting a passing grade with a score of 1. :rolleyes: Usually all those wrong answers meant a failing grade.

Be careful, I recieved a fake from Amazon a while back. They processed the return and refund immediately, so I have no complaints, but it was still a bummer.

And so much for shiny footprints. Respecting other knife companies doesn't mean a **** thing. There's nothing hard about that. What matters is respecting other forum members, and all Spyderco users.

aaronkb had a perfectly legit reason for saying he didn't buy knives from a particular vendor. More than reasonable. And he said it briefly and to the point, in about as calm a way as you could ask, IIRC.

You don't have to agree, or change where YOU buy knives. (Though five minutes on Google should convince you that he was not being unreasonable, and might lead some people to reconsider their views.)

But you ought to respect that people have their reasons, and sharing it was OK and even helpful to some other Spyderco forum members.

He's the main reason the original thread that had been going on for 12 years or something, was locked and closed. Some are still rightfully salty as he got WAY off topic and ruined a historic thread as a new member.

They're kind of rare and I don't think they were sold to the USA kind of like the Janisong... People love them tho
