Lava is awesome. Not missing out on this one. The Kiwi looks great, BUT, it needs a clip, for it's size.

Some things to look forward too. Especially happy with how the Jot Singh Khalsa looks.

Wouldn't be too hard to do.

That
would look sharp, just like that Hungarian model. I'll take it either way - even stainless.

Thanks for all the hard work, Wouter.
I am all in for the Hungarian and the Kiwi!

I am digging the kiwi, but the big questions is: How do you like it Paul?
Wouter, thanks again for doing this and missing out on everything that was said in the meeting while you are busy snapping away.

You mean the final version will be closed construction? The one from the pictures is not a full closed construction, now the problem with that IMO is that if you want to pull something else out of the pocket your hand will rub against those sharp liners and it gives you that paper cut feel and also during use, closed construction is by far more comfortable IMO. Great design BTW, huge fan.

Wouter: If those are pics you aren't really happy with, that's amazing. For myself, and probably 98+% of the other forumites here, we would be ecstatic to be able to take pics that good with the similar blue hues. They don't seem to be missing anything technically. I know that the Amsterdam show is something I really look forward to every year, mostly BECAUSE of your photography!! Keep up the GREAT work!
PS - my fav so far is the Chap 3. What trips your shutter most?
[quote="Mr Blonde"]I know the sprint run Lava in blue G-10 is eagerly anticipated by some forumites. And I must agree that the knife is very nice with a G-10 handle. The knife felt a lot lighter in the hand, compared to the SS version. This knife was hard to photograph on the blue cloth background I had with me.
I’m not really happy with how these pics turned out, but I hope they give you a decent idea on how the knife will look.

YES , a new J.S. Khalsa !!! That's awesome ! Love this knife, a little less the play on the locking system

So this new one is a great news for 2013. Hope I won't miss it if it's a sprint run ...

True, Roman. However, it's all screw construction, so the scales can be removed and either smoothed, polished, and replaced or simply replaced with something else.

Let's just say mixed emotions, Tony, but I've learned never to get either too excited over, or too depressed by, the details of a concept model. Love the idea and love the blade shape. Don't care for the peel-ply G-10, but anyone who knows me would know that's a given. Just have to hope that, if it reaches production, the rivets will be replaced with screws so the scales can be polished or replaced.
+1 on the thanks to Wouter, his photography and his dedication to this are both amazing.

Interesting that you brought up Hungarian folder. I was thinking already for a while that lava with SS bolsters would look terrific.

So far just the Domino and maybe the Kiwi are calling my name. That said, there are some great new knives coming out.

I initially passed off the Lava when I read that it would be Blue G10 but I admit, I rather like it. Also agree that the G10 Kiwi is awesome and would love to see the addition of a (wire) clip.

Agreed, a wire clip would make it a must have. I'll probably pick one up either way though.
