ImageImage Mystery solved , Blue Heron seems to be the water fowl in earlier shot. I went back this morning and sure enough Heron was stil hanging around the Geese . My guess they stir up small fish that the Heron can feast on . I had to use a tree to block my approach to shoreline but as soon as the Heron saw me he was off and the Geese could care less ! Couldn’t get a great shot in the tree but this was an Eastern Tiger swallowtail as far as I can tell.

iNaturalist stopped at genus small ground doves
but I think that is an Inca Dove.
A protected species and not a game bird here in Texas.

ImageImage walked out onto back porch early this morning and had a Turkey Vulture and a Crow hanging out together in dead Ash tree . Walked in back and around yard and found nothing dead from the Great Horned Owl . Never seen these birds hang this close . Dan
