well isn't that different. I never thought a Japanese knife would be made with anything but Japanese steel.

This would make the Sage attractive to me. I do not like liner locks or frame locks. I did not buy the back lock version because it was too heavy.

Any interest in the sage 3 with the bolt action lock? I just recently got one, and its already one of the smoothest opening knives in my collection.

Cant wait to see a Compression Lock Sage :D

Yeah, I have the blue Sage 3. Very nice knife... but it is kind of wide in pocket and has a light detent you can overcome with momentum to open.

Yeah from what I've heard its larger than the Sage 1 & 2, but I don't own either so I can't say for sure. I have noticed it has fairly light blade retention, which I partly attributed to how smooth it is, but still a nice solid lockup. I wonder how much the spring in the lock could be strengthened before it starts to affect the function of the bolt action while trying to close the blade, or open for that matter.

Wow, where did you catch that quote from?
Was it possibly Darbys' thread here or on BF? I may have missed it...
I feel like he may have helped make a worthy connection happen between Sal & Farid that may have otherwise been missed without that thread!

Edit: yeah just saw that response on bears thread! This is cool.
Think it will also be in 10V?

Yojimbo 2
twinboysdad wrote:on exactly what Golden models are getting S110V and blurple G10? I am particularly curious regarding the Yojimbo 2 and Manix 2 XL. Neither have mention in the catalog but you had said all the Golden models would receive S110V. Just trying to budget for 2016 with all the greatness you have planned! And a Yo2 in S110V and blurple would be on my list for sure if produced. Thanks as always for your time.

Our plan is to make all of the Golden models in a CPM-110V variation with the dark blue scales. We don't have a detailed plan as to what the order and time will be as we fit them in.

That is interesting. I am waiting on the T2. I hope it comes out by the mid season catalog.

While it is indeed exciting, that quote is over a year old... and we haven't heard a peep about it since.

I really hope this is actually something on the drawing board. I am saving up for a VG10 T2 at the moment, but if there is one potentially coming in Aogami Super Blue then I'll happily wait it out. :)
