Just ordered that Police 4 K390 from National. Totally was not on my radar but I did want a larger SE like a Pacific Salt for yard/rougher use. For $112 shipped, I think this will more than fit the bill as K390 is awesome just as long as the knife is not too huge. I do have CBN rods on my Sharpmaker so sharpening should not be an issue.

Get over any hesitation on pulling the trigger on that Knifejoy Wharncliffe. It’s one of the nicest dealer exclusives in a terrific EDC steel and the best model for the Wharncliffe configuration in the Spyderco line up imo.

it's a great knife. i got mine a few months back on sale and it was totally worth it. at this lower price, it's a really great deal. you might prefer the k390 though, to be honest. i know you like the edge holding tool steels. either way, it's a fun knife to use because it just cuts so easily.
