Your transmission, intercooler and conrods will be the limitations.
The 07/06+ had sorted these issues out except the intercooler.
I used the Bosch 42lb injectors, ran 280rwkw on Autotechs dyno, which allowed it to run 0-100 in 4.67 seconds as it hooked up second gear no problem with KU39s.

Hey welcome back Travis!

I've spent weeks trying to figure out how and what to swap a Barra into (with no money), by the way. :p. It's a tortured life here in the USA!

Thx for sharing. Keep me posted. I'll keep driving my Mazdaspeed Miata daydreaming of that 4L inline 6 :D

Well, just dropped off the 1988 Mustang 5.0 at a local alignment shop with some new Ford Racing front lower A-arms to install. Also going to have an alignment done. Hoping for a TON of positive caster, a smidgen of toe-in and about 1 degree of negative camber each side.

This is the last link in making it drive unlike a 30 year old death-machine :p. January we will have it dyno-tuned. Aiming for 300whp so hopefully we can blast past our goal by a fair margin ;).

That is so rad. I have pics of one of the 10 KSP cars like mine that's restored, I'll have to dig them out and post them. The CHP cars are probably the most common of any state but also some of the coolest paint schemes.i love cruising the interstates in mine daydreaming about how it ran people down on those same highways back in the day.

I got to handle this beauty today. '65 Corvette with a 396/4 speed. Only year they put a 396 in a Vette, they went to the 427 in '66.

Australian motor vehicle manufacturing is ending next year.
I've just put a deposit on a new Holden Commodore SS Sportswagon, i hope to pick it up next week.
I'll put us some pics then.
It comes with the 304kw LS3 motor which I think is the same as the Camaro SS I drove in California in June.

Love that first body style, pretty hard to find one without rust these days unless its had a frame off done, something about the wind shield, its like a sheet of plywood rolling down the road, rain hits it and goes straight down. They rust real bad in the foot wells, fire wall etc, I'm sure you know of what I speak ;) I use to have a 72' back in the late 80's that came up here from AZ that was pristine condition, traded a 75' jeep CJ5 and $1k for it, man I wish I still had that one. Picked up my 73' about 6 years ago, put a lot of time and money into it just to get it road worthy, still needs a frame off though, I patched most of the rust through but it still needs work. I'm actually thinking about selling it and picking up one already done but man they are getting expensive.

Oh a beauty :D!

Unfortunately our grey market/import laws in Washington need it to be 25 years old. Pretty sure if I spent another $20/30k that could be bypassed with special licensing. Plus, Gumtree won't let you have an account without a NZ/Ausi email (just what I hear).

I WAS looking at the parts needed for a USDM Thunderbird Barra swap. It's possible but not easy (i.e. I just need cash). Most problems can be solved with cash, lol.

There IS a unimog import shop just over the border in Canada where I went to school. Most those are old enough. Again...money. Sigh

Congratulations. Is that a Holden Commodore? Near as I can tell, they are only made in your homeland, Australia, and some are exported to the United States. I've never seen one but I don't get out much. Lucky you.

Dang we are jealous :D.

High-powered wagons and manual transmissions. Things apparently (most of) the USA cares very little about :( .
