Not to derail, but I actually feel the opposite on the PPT. I agree that the black blade version isn't all that interesting, but I think it would much more benefit from a handle upgrade, that is steel to Ti, to reduce the weight. I would notice that far more than a steel "upgrade" (K390 has lower corrosion resistance, so there are trade-offs).
YES.
Was quickly browsing this thread after seeing it bumped, and that is nearly what I was about to type up as I was seeing interest in the PPT, but you said it well!
Needed to be in Ti.
And great news from Sal.
Quite anxious to hear what Italian models (and others) may arise with this steel!
I think we will see the same Manix, Native treatment as the S110V, probably a PM2 and Military. From Taichung a Mantra in k390 would be appealing. FRN color will be coyote brown
This is awesome news! Really glad to see this steel is going to get used in, what sounds to be, maybe a few sprint runs. My dream is still for a K390 Manix 2, but anything Sal, Eric and crew deem worth while, I will be happy to use!

Manix 2 in K390 would be fantastic.
What about the first generation Manix with a back lock and a 4mm thick blade? :)

Waiting on a Squeak and Pingo with a Split Spring!
