As a fan of the N5, I can't believe how good this one looks with the choil being masked by the snow. It's like you've created a new model.
I know the hand vs the eye argument. :D but still...

Usually what is more aesthetic is less usable.
N5 is more beautiful without a choil but it has superior handling with a choil.

P.S. IMHO, even the swedge looks pretty good from this camera angle. :)

With the excitement of carrying the 20CV model by the end of the week, I decided to take this guy out for the day. Hasn't had much play time the past month or so.

That red (polestar patterned) tenacious looked really sweet, to bad it's sold out(discontinued) . I would really like to have one of those. :)

Chaparral LW. Great for carrying loosely / not clipped inside the zippered pocket of my backcountry-skitouring-pants. And today was a sunny-lots-of-snow-day where I live.... ;)

Decided to brighten things up a bit on this drab, cold, winter day.

That is a cool knife; which one is it? I like that and the new(ish) Kapara!

This is the Amalgan designed by Brian Lai. It’s awesome.

man... i'd love to convert my manix to screws instead of pins.
I was going to, but after posting a WTB ad for a donor Manix, the person who converted this one reached out to me. I, therefore, haven't bought the screws and stand offs to convert my other Manixes yet.

It's tricky, apparently, to keep all holes in the FRCP and the backspacer portion of the lock concentric with the original holes. If you don't, the lockup will be too slight, there will be blade play, or lockup won't happen.

Also, sometime this year, I hope to convert this one to linerless G10 with a CPM 3V blade (cryoed and low tempered  ). I just hope it goes smoothly and to plan.
