Well I have a lot of experience with bicycle bearings, but those are almost always heavily packed with grease so rust was almost unheard of.

From my experience, just barely one step below Super Blue. But, I have also repeatedly put mine away wet into a kydex sheath and left it for a weekend while camping, so it did pit just a bit...
Even my S30V Swik3 got quite rusty once when I had it in a small kydex sheath with no drain hole, got it full of sweat without realizing it and left it for a few hours.
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod

I would imagine the heat-treat protocol for this steel as a knife, is different from the protocol for bearings, so comparing corrosion resistance between the two is probably not entirely valid...

I've seen plenty of rusty and heavily pitted ball bearings in my day as well... but yeah, not quite a direct comparison.

The exposed tang of my Mule has not seen any patina at all. Unlike other knives I have in 1095.
Going back to Caly.

It should patina very, very easily. I have the MT1 in 52100 and it stains like Super Blue or 1095 or like most any other carbon steel.

I got my "we haven't forgot about your order" email from Knife Works today. I'm pretty pumped about the changes. Now the wait is really gonna get hard.

Has anyone taken one of these apart? Is the stop pin floating in there? It's definitely not riveted?
