The C-54 Calypso has been in my "JD's TOP 10" list for a few years now>> it's really about my all time favorite model of all the Calypso models. It's like a lot of the "Old School Spyders">> they got it right the first time. The C-54 Calypso was truly a masterpiece and was the grandfather of all the other Calypso models IMO.

I don't know if the C54 was overlooked by many, but ever since I started buying Spyderco's (maybe 10 years ago), the Micarta C54's have been selling for $300. It was too expensive to me for something similar to the Endura or G-10 Police.

I was SUPER happy when they released the brown sprint a while back. For less than the price of one Micarta C54, I bought two G-10 C54's.

Looking at this another way , maybe they should make the Caly without a choil , and appease all the Delica fans out there who outnumber the Caly owners and still sleep happily at night without a choil :)

Any pics or links you could share? I'd be interested in seeing a delica with a choil after-market scale.
