Sadly the people who do this regularity likely don't care about Sal's opinion or this community. Luckily it's an extre Fmely small subgroup of the greater whole.
Hey Blerv, I posted Mr. Glesser's opinion, not for the flippers, but rather to inform the thread participants that their opinions matter less to me than Sal's. Since only Sal is in the position to do something about the situation if he so desires, his opinion is all that really matters. The "capitalism" and "entitlement" are just protesting because I think.they don't want any changes. If they don't really care one way or the other, then they can just ignore threads like these just like I don't really look at threads on.topics or knives that have no attraction for me.

If I were Spyderco, I would take all this flipping action as a compliment to the quality and desirability of their work. The fact that some sprints are hard to come by (at reasonable prices) just make the ones I do have that much more special.
That said, I have never flipped a knife and will not buy one either. I'm one of those still patiently waiting for a Green PM2.

I am of the opinion that no matter how many pieces of a knife there are in existence, that the "specialness" of mine isn't diminished because the specs and materials on mine won't change(and its performance, no matter who else has another. :)

I hear ya Chuck. That last note was more a general pondering into the cosmos than anything. I was certain you believed something similar.

Threads like these get more traffic than paranormal films shot for the cost of a cheap Honda. It's a shame because neither the movies or threads (IMHO) have much depth to them besides a few official quotes on things most agree with anyways.

Haha spoken for truth blerv. I was pointedly not posting much until the vitriol started from the people who felt entitled to stifle the opinions of the "anti-flipper" people, of which I'm.one.

You've been constantly been on this thread, I see your name on the "There are currently x users browsing this thread. jalcon, x guests" down below. You follow it religiously. And what do you do? Only quote guys like Chuck on one side of the argument like we're causing the trouble? I don't like it either, but if you're just gonna come in with even less constructive things to say, do yourself a favor and don't enter the thread and save you the trouble. Go watch TV, fondle your knives, something more constructive then.

Yup I agree, like I said on the first page it's a good thing for Spyderco that there is such demand. Sal's comment I shared pretty much sums up what the company will try to do about it. Funny how peple so vehemently FOR flippers have not once addressed Sal saying he's not thrilled with and I quote "scalpers".

Keep waiting for that green PM2. Get on their notify list via email. You have plenty of fellow end users AND profiteers to get in line with.

Internet, serious business. Who said anyone's causing any trouble. You probably see me in this thread because it's always at the top, it's slow at work, and I have nothing better to do. This entire thread can be summed up with "flipping's bad mmmkay". Wait, why am I even entertaining your thoughts? Oh that's right - I have nothing better to do. Insert serious blue dumbfounded cheeky wink face here.

I'm the same way, but for many people it's all about the money, they don't care what the knife is. They want to buy the knife and resell it at a profit. And judging from the responses on forum posts there are a lot more people here for the money than there are for the knives themselves. I don't worry so much about the price- there is a line below which I can buy the knife and above which I can't. And the flippers price the knives above that line.

Flipping is just a part of the game, some just aren't thrilled about it. ;) ;) ;)

Can anyone that's criminalizing our opinions so far in this thread address this please? It's been invisible to you so far. Skip, and attack something else LOL

In fairness, he's NOT the only one who's following this religiously. These threads always seem to have a "I get the last word" effect. It's crazy IMVHO because other than this topic, folks here are remarkably amiable and like-minded. :o

I agree, I did not intend to stir up such malcontent...if the admin can close this thread that might be best.
