Perhaps coming to some kind of consensus is good here...
The majority who have voiced an opinion here seem to agree that a dark green (stag arms color) G10 with the S110V is either their top choice or an acceptable choice.
So maybe going forward we can just have everyone say Aye or +1 to agree to that configuration and then maybe Sal and Co can get thing moving forward.

Aye, +1, agree, or whatever. :)DeathBySnooSnoo wrote:Perhaps coming to some kind of consensus is good here...

I agree w/ DBSS however, reading through the thread, there are a number of posts who feel that this would somehow not be "special" enough, expensive enough, or otherwise unsuitable. I'm not sure what the right answer is.DeathBySnooSnoo wrote:Perhaps coming to some kind of consensus is good here...

I love the idea of a Native 5 forum knife - I don't currently have one, so it would be the perfect opportunity. Dark-green G10 is o.k., but following the opinions of others, I don't think it is "special" enough. I would love carbon fiber with a texture/pattern unique to the knife: e.g. a special type of weave, matte-finish, or some other style not tried on previous Spydercos. The use of something like S110V is a must; I would buy the knife just to experience the steel!

For a forum knife, I'm ok with dark green G10, to keep the costs reasonable. Thats an aye!
If not a forum knife, I would prefer CF of some sort.
Just my 2c... If affordability is such a big requirement for a forum knife, then maybe the Native 5 is not the best option, seeing that the standard model costs over $110 (street) already. Add a steel like S110v, and I can see it go to $150+ easily, which kinda defeats the purpose. Unless we do FRN. But somehow that does not do this steel justice.
Maybe we need another forum knife (UKPK?) and give this super native a chance to really be all that it can be without the affordability constraint?
I cannot believe I just shot my own wallet in the foot like that... :)

The point here is the S110V!!!! You can pimp a delica if looks are all you want.Slash wrote:Tiger stripe black and red g10 w/Anso pattern will work great for me. Much better than green. After all the forum colors are black and red, not green.
A good cts steel would be fine as well. Doesn't have to be s110v.
This is all about an S110V knife that might be made into a forum knife.

They could etch a hologram of nutnfancy's face on it, if it's s110v I'm getting it anyway. :pEricTheRed wrote:+1 to that
I like my blade steels to be clean and shiny (aside from the subtle signatures and the obligatory " :spyder: " of course)

I do think that I remember Sal saying awhile back that he prefers to use different colors on different versions.Shakyamuni wrote:Is black even an option since there is already a Black Native 5? I thought the handle color has to change when the steel changes so that it can be referred to as a distinctly different variant?
That being said (and if fluted Ti and CF aren't used) I'd have to again push for the "dark grey" that is coming on the jester sprint (and what the last Lum Tanto sprint was originally showed off as having)
...I think a new (more definative) poll is in order here

How bout a different handle material all together. This matte finish linen micarta that Esee uses is amazing. Its so comfortable. As far as color, Id like to see just an earthy tone, or if you do go bright, make it something that hasnt been done before. Lime green for instance, or a multi colored g10. Who likes black? Who likes blue? Black and blue anyone? I also agree red and black would be awesome. Or **** black scales with red liners? I say red and black because those are spydercos colors.
