funny, mine came smooth as silk. You never can tell I guess. I dig the color more than I thought I would. I don't really think the textured G10 is really necessary on this model. I think the Para 2 already has such great ergos that I don't really feel like the textured G10 adds anything to it. Just my observation. I don't mind it, I just don't really care either way. Textured or not textured. Gold jacket, green jacket....

That's normal. It's where the laser starts and stops as it cuts out the liner. It's on both liners of my M390 Para 2 as well as some of my other nested liner knives.

The grind from mid-blade to tip is pretty even, but behind that, it's not.
I know how you feel. Iv'e recently had 4 knifes I am not 100% happy with because of various issues. 2 were bad enough I sent them in. 1 returned so far but they did not or could not fully fix it.

I will just have to deal with it, or buy another and hope for the best, then sell the one I am not happy with on fleabay).
I hope mine will be ok when it arrives. I sent them a note to look it over really well, we will see what happens

This is normal? Sorry, but when I drop $200 on a knife, I have to ask. Never seen this on any of my others.

I have the same issues in two or three spots, and the milled liner protrudes on one side .....i just let it go. But it is weird

Who was that who mentioned about people photographing knives with a microscope? :p

Mine has that too. FWIW, it doesn't bother me at all.
In fact, I just checked and all my Para 2s have this. I never really noticed before.

They are on my black on black para, I've had it apart plenty of times and I think they help hold the G-10 down on the non screw side.

Sorry about the huge pics. I tried making them a reasonable size but I guess I should have made them smaller.
Thanks for the responses. Makes me feel a whole lot better. It sucks being neurotic.

Hmmm...I don't have mine yet, but I do have a camp para to look at and I have those marks on both liners. I never noticed them, but I did notice the cracked G10 by the compression lock.

You know the pocket clip puts pressure on the pivot screw. I recently went from tip up to tip down and the centering went to slightly off, but I decided to remove the clip all together and the blade is back to center.

I just switched from tip down (as it came) to tip up, and now the blade is centered more nicely.

Yep, completely normal on a nested liner knife. As I said before, mine has the same exact double divots (one from where the laser starts, and one from where it stops).

Yes. All of my Para2 knives (S90V, CTS-20CP and M390) have the same marks, and there are a bunch of threads here and at BF discussing the fact that this is normal.

Echoing the same comment it is normal and fine. They are cut with lasers and as it makes its initial cut it makes this mark. Nothing can really be done about it and it affects the knife in no way. I have done work with CNC lasers in the past and it happens.
My blade was also a bit stiff, I put on some tuf-glide flicked it some and now it opens and closes like glass jutlst like my S90V and 20CP and all other paras. Just give it all sometime, use it and you will forget about it all and wonder why you even cared because they all rock!

Consider that a Blue M390 PM2 sold on ebay Jan 1st for $256 and one 2 days ago for $250.
I foresee the orange fetching just as much or more that the blue.

Why would the orange go for more? It's not like the XHP is better than M390. Were those $250/256 ones numbered?
Then again, the Ernie PM2s did sell out (800) in 12 days. I have no idea how many Smurfs were supposed to have been made.

I'm absolutely fine with it now that I know that's just how PM2s are, but my Stretches and Delicas don't have these marks.
It's quite a beautiful knife. It's growing on me.
