I had it on the 15 degrees on my EP. The Izula is a pretty thick knife. It slices alot better now.

3000 grit. I microbevel at 20 degrees with the spyderco medium, fine, and ultra fine stones. I think the bevel is less than 15 degrees. I sharpened it on the grind, not the tang. So I'm thinkin 12-13 degrees.

Ok. I was thinking that the bevel was lower than 15°

I need help. I have a sharpmaker and I purchased ultra fine stones to go for a mirror polish. My problem is that when I sharpen my PM2 with the medium and fine stones I get an extremely sharp edge, hair shaving with one pass sharp. However, when I go to the ultra fine stones, I start to get a mirror polish, but I lose my hair shaving sharpness, when I was going for hair whittling. The edge is very sharp but will not take hair off anymore. I back beveled using the 30 degree back beveling side then did 20 passes down each stone on the edge then flats then changed stones as the book describes. When I get to the ultra fine stones should I only use the flats or the edges? Should I do less passes? Should I only sharpen very very lightly? Any advice will help. Thanks everyone.

By the way, the Para Military2 is literally the best knife I have ever owned or handled. I am still completely infatuated by it. I recommend everyone get one.

Light touches are ALWAYS your best bet, especially when you start to finish with one grit and move to the next.

ok so I looked at my para 2 closer and the scratches on the back bevel look more like a mix of 400 and 3000 grit scratches, mostly 3000 though
