Yeah, I already own and have tested M4 but I was curious to see how it fairs with the same geometry as most of my knives (considering I own like 10 N5s). But going for Mules is easier in my mind, and the Gayle Bradley is so good I don't think a M4 N5 will beat it in any category except size

N5’s are about the same as mules( they get all the new steels, slightly higher price point), getting all the new steel treatment. The M4 is just behind Cruwear for me, the toughness of both and the ease of sharpening is a plus. Behind those two steels I see K390 and HXP, but everybody’s use is different. I need a balanced steel for what I subject them too, beyond the Amazon box test. M4 is a **** good steel, yeah it does require a little extra care($5 of mineral oil at cvs) if there is no dlc, but I prefer to bring M4 backpacking with me than most other steels- it’s tough as **** and will not chip or roll.
