We can take comfort knowing there is some In the works, but it looks like we might not get any for Christmas.

HAWKBILL MANBUG!!! I know what everyone I know is getting as gifts for the near future. Gonna buy a few for my workbag and car too.
I like your enthusiasm. Please tell me more about your use cases for specifically a hawkbill. I got a wharncliffe se and leaf se manbug amongst others. Not sure I need a hawkbill one.
I'd say you'd be better off just trying one. As you use it, you'll see how it's different. Cutting a bag, a box, thread, rope. You can cut them all with a leaf or Wharncliffe, the hawkbill just cuts different. Think more pull cut than push cut. Nothing better for removing zipties. Wharncliffes and leafs slide along what your cutting, hawkbills gather, hold, and cut.

Unfortunately, for a Manbug Salt SE there’s only the Sheepsfoot option. I get rust spots on the other steels including VG-10. It’d be nice to get Manbug Salt SE with Wharncliffe or Hawkbill blades. I’m back to Manbug Salt SE Sheepsfoot now.

Hopefully with the template now made, and a warm reception to the VG-10, a Salt version will follow. Hope springs eternal for K390.

I dont like that every 15V knife is listed as being a sprint run. No pre orders and you have to be paying attention ever single day so you don't miss it... Is there any good way to ensure that you dont miss them?

So nothing good for the holidays 🤯?? Oh well glad i snagged a spymyto while i could thats my jewel for 2024 i know its nothing special idk what it is jus has a nicer sleeker look than other spydercos with the nicely rounded edges and actually comforrables handles n everything i cant think of anything i would change about it other than thin out the edge a lil and offered with full titanium handle but even those things im not sure i would even do that it really js quite nice(outside of cant use the flipper tab til they send me a screw that will actually hold it on and ill be good) im sure once i have a custom g10 scale for it itll be my favorite knife i have probably like it even more than my livewire

Yippie…. Native Chief LW S110V… 💪🇺🇸

Could be the knife that finally roots the Stretch 2 XL LW H2 out of my pocket. 🤔

Excited for the spynano and glad to see Paul Alexander back with a fresh design. I'm not a fan of slip joints but this looks secure enough for the thin blade.

It will probably be more expensive than the spymyto, as it seems Lionsteel worked with Spyderco to keep the price down on that one

I'll be the 4th to say something about 'Manix 2 15V'...would be a great combo. I also really like what they have been doing with K390 and hope to see more offered in that steel. I would definitely be a customer. N5? S5? M2? I think so!

I hope their next MT is Vanadis 8, seems like that steel has so much going for it. And if we are talking esoteric, maybe something in Z-Max as well.

There was a Z-Max Mule (MT29) released in 2021. Probably best to post any Mule Team related inquiries within the Mule Team subforum, as there is an open thread asking for Mule re-releases, as well as the potential for a future run in Vanadis 8, too.

I don't think we'll be seeing K390 in the Golden models (there has been much discussion over various platforms regarding Golden vs Seki K390), and instead we'll slowly see 15V flesh out as Golden-made Sprint Runs over time. Spyderco seems to not want to "compete" amongst their manufacturers, and instead will continue to offer comparable, yet differing steels throughout their various manufacturing facilities. This seems to be their behavior regarding such.

It seems as though REX-121 is sounding to be the next steel to spread across the facilities, if anything (including SPY27 and Magnacut), based on the various interviews with Eric over this past year. That has been my interpretation, anyway. As with everything around here, start a fire by creating a new thread, and if it evolves into a bonfire, the chances of seeing that particular iteration of a model seemingly speed the process along in getting into the scheduled production queue. With sal informed and active here on the forums, the easier it is for us to streamline the access of information that he can then pass on, the more likely (and quickly) he would be to relay such requests back to the rest of the Spyderco team, IMO.

To be frank, and as ironic as this will come across seeing as I just started a thread asking for a 15V UKPK, I'd rather see new models take favor (or at least equal) over variations of the same old theme. Of course, I'd like to see a new Mule Team, but I'm afraid that the interest has waned quite a bit since last year.
