This my first chief, and I'm very impressed with it. I'm trying to decide if I like the chief or the P4 better. So far my nod goes to the P4, but I might just be biased because I have more experience with it (and because I like K390).

I'm glad so many more folks are enjoying these. Here is another older thread on the model. It includes discussion, comparison photos and more.

S90V Native Chief is in stock at Knife Center. I'm sure they don't have a ton of them laying around as it is a Sprint Run.

I like mine.

I already have the story of searching for the Rex 45 Native Chief for over a year but I would still Love to know what caused the lengthy delay. I know covid played its part but there has to be something more specific. Inquiring minds would like to know. For personal reference. :) :spyder:

This, and more information about the dirty rumor that there will be a St Nick's 4v chief. I need all the answers!

Ah, don't shoot it! What did it ever do to you?

Mine arrived yesterday from Red Hills*. The Chief lock up sound is so very pleasing. This one really hits above its weight class.

Thought you guys might appreciate another comparison shot ;). The Chief prototype pic is from this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=82178

I sized the pic so the blades are identical in length, so I believe that's a fairly true size side-by-side of them. The Chief prototype is from 1999 and is located in the Native display case at the SFO in Golden. The CF Chief has been located primarily in my hand since I've received it (it's lovely). Still wouldn't have minded if being their traditional Golden peel-ply like the other CF beauties above but I'll get over it. Cheers, Radioactive :)
