LOL I'm in no position to judge, got to be getting close to 300 Spydies now. Two Chap 2's, a Chap 3, Chap 1, 3 fluted Ti Native 5's, I think 3 CF Native 5's, 4 fluted Ti Military's plus one regular Ti Military...

I think it is all in the way one looks at the purchase of a new Spyderco. It is best not to think of it as money spent, but rather as money saved. Take my own sad case with the purchase of 4 Chap 2s that I simply could not pass up at a KSF price of $143.17. It is not that I spent a total of $572.68, but that I saved $727.12 off MSRP. (Now of course very few of us pay MSRP for our Spydies, but that's beside the point). Besides a great savings I have the fun of 4 new knives, plus a pretty fair investment in the possibility that the Chap 2 is discontinued and prices then rise. :rolleyes:

But most of all, I just like the Chap 2 a lot, and I guess that is reason enough after all. :D

I absolutely agree with you. This is proper way to see the life. I just told my wife that last month I saved so much money buying Spydercos, that we finally can afford to buy full gallon of milk for our kids :D

$143 for a Memory is pretty fantastic. Love the design. It is well worth $143, IMHO. Every collection needs a Memory!
