I didn't read all the suggestions, but how about updating the Salt 1 and Pacific Salt to FFG as well? I am about to sent my Salt 1 to Krein for a FFG. I have never lost one of your bright yellow knives, but am sorry to say my last black Pacific is now property of a river.

I'd love to see a full flat grind FRN Delica. I have noticed how my Endura in Foliage Green FRN appears less noticeable in my khaki work pants and I am digging the color more & more. But since it has to be a new color my vote is the following.

1) Tan
2) Coyote Brown

Hi Sal,

FFG Enduras & Delicas sound great. I would go for Orange, Blue, Yellow and maybe Purple.
Top :spyder:s : Caly 3, Stretch, Millie, Manix 2, Police, Kopa, Polliwog, Meerkat, Chinook III, and SuperHawk.

Dear Mr. Glesser, thank you for spoiling us with full flat grinds and for asking for our input. :)
I would love a Delica / Endura with a full flat grind right out from the factory. Rescue 93mm blue is very nice and it complements the jeans perfectly. OTOH, I said a couple times how cool it woul be to make some glow in the dark FRN... :D

The Deacon wrote:I don't believe "clear" FRN would be anywhere near clear. Even straight nylon, the "N" in FRN, with no dye added has a somewhat cloudy appearance, the thicker it is, the cloudier it looks. Then add all the little bits of fiberglass flock that make up the "FR" portion of its name. Spyderco uses top grade FRN, that means a LOT of those little glass fibers. So, even more cloudiness. Am thinking, at best, it would look like a milky white version of the G-10 on the Leafstorm.

Also, I believe this was touched on by someone earlier, but might bear further comment. Whenever I was testing new software, or trying to find and fix a bug, SOP was to change one thing at a time. If you made multiple changes, you could never be sure which worked and, worst yet, might miss a cure by introducing both it and another error, similar to but different from, the one you were attempting to fix.

So, in this case, if a brown handled knife with a full flat grind sells better than a black one with a flat saber grind, there will still be the question of why. Did people buy the color in spite of the grind, or perhaps the grind in spite of the color?
I know Benchmade made some clear Griptilians when the first came out, however they were for dealer/demonstration purposes. From what I hear they were not as strong. In fact, I am not even sure if it is not a whole different plastic they are using.

I'll throw in votes for safety orange FRN (a la Rescue, Assist, etc.) and yellow FRN (a la Atlantic Salt). Those are nice, cheerful, vivid colors.

FWIW, even as an afi I like the Endura with its brutish flat saber grind and strong tip to go with the big, comfy, confident grip. I see it as contributing to its status as a good, tough knife of moderate price that I'm not afraid to beat on a little. I know it's mostly psychological, but there are jobs I'd do with my Endura that I'd hesitate to try with my Caly 3, and I think the grind is part of it. I don't own a Delica, so I can't say how I'd feel about its grind, but I suspect I'd be less bothered by a FFG Delica due to the smaller size.
