Without question, my favorite of Eric's work. The original Manix C95.

Noticed this when I checked out his instagram today. Love the look of a well loved Spyderco.

So far so good Josh! Typical Spyderco quality. Its a little stiffer and not quite as smooth as my other G10 manix but it's also brand new. So I'll give it some break in time before I pass judgement. In all fairness, the action on it is actually pretty good. It's just that my S30V manix is so exceptionally smooth that anything else has a lot to live up to.

This is my first Manix 2 with skeletonized liners. I was expecting to feel more of a weight difference compared to the solid liners but it's not that big of deal really. A little more than a 1/2 oz (.56 oz) by my scale. I guess I was expecting to actually feel a more substantial difference based on what I've read here. I don't really mind how the heavier one feels so any weight savings is a bonus I guess.

I'm looking forward to getting to know 52100. I've already been cutting up a bunch of cardboard to give the factory edge a little work out. It's sharp but can certainly be better. I'll probably touch it up on the Sharpmaker to see what happens. Maybe I'll even reprofile it over the weekend if the heat lets up enough here so I can work in my garage workshop.

I'll be interested to hear what you think after you receive yours.

I really like :spyder: G10, not to mention the textured CF. Yes, CRUWEAR on the gray G10 - originally from Maxamet. I have been playing musical chairs with the scales of my PM2s. But the gray and CRUWEAR are there to stay. Like my M390 and CF, which came from the 52100.

Going out of town with these two this weekend.

I'm glad everyone is still smiling! I thought it was a reasonable question for a knife that was disco'd 11 years ago, even if it is the patriarch of the Manix family.

And the weird angle came about quite by accident. I was trying to get an interesting photo, and wasn't really getting anything I liked when I put the knife in the same hand that was holding my phone to free up my other hand and I looked at the screen on my phone and though that looks cool, took the photo and here it is.
