video is nothing special but you pretty much never see this model these days:
wouldn't be the worst candidate for a 3V sprint.
Wish I had a belt sander back then. The edge was too thick to bite well when chopping and I didn't feel up to thinning it by hand.
Very nice, and agree with you on the 3V Sprint idea, for many models actually.

For those on FB, check out Kristi's post on the Spyderco Official Discussion Group regarding their Edgerati GAW.

Just messing around with my S2XLs. I noticed that on my plain VG10 S2XL Lightweight, my magnet doesn't stick to the clip like it does to my others (K390, PD#1, SPY27). I suspect it's titanium, although that doesn't make much sense and I didn't find anything that said the clip was Ti. I've had this knife since they first came out.
Could someone check theirs?
I don't THINK I ever swapped the clip (although its possible).

I bought a VG10 Stretch2 XL last year. A magnet sticks to the clip, I just checked.
I've noticed that the Ti Seki clips have more of a matte finish, while their metal clips are more glossy. The difference isn't always apparent unless you're holding them side by side. Maybe a Ti clip got mixed in with the metal ones accidentally at the factory

Thanks for checking yours! I think this one looks more matte than the shiny one on my K390 model, so maybe it did just get mixed up during build?

the same model doesn't always ship with the exact same clip. I've gotten matte & shiny clips on the same model, bought brand new from trusted retailers.

I've repeatedly heard about how ugly Spyderco knives are. I've actually always been attracted to the look of them personally. The hole in the blade is jarring when you first see one I can admit, but there was always something so unique about it that drew me to them over competing brands. Aside from the real out there looking designs I really haven't found a design I disliked visually.

A lot of folks used to say that Sal "designed knives in the dark."
