I am under the impression:

H2<LC200N<MagnaCut (in SE and even more so in PE)

Why H2 on this knife and not LC200N?

Or does it just not matter much at all.

I might, even if I did not learn to like H1 much yet. In SE I have no issues with it but in PE I think it's too far behind LC200N or MagnaCut when it comes to edge retention

YMMV but in my testing I found with a thin, coarse edge I can go 2-3 months without touching up an EDC made from H1.

Hi Vivi,

I just received my production ample of a Stretch 2 XL Salt, serrated edge in H2, in yellow. I've been carrying and using it for several days and I really like it. I think you will really like this knife. If you get one, let us now what you think? If you don't like it, I'll buy it back from you.

Not going to lie, this comment alone sells the knife.

PE. Over the years I've seen how long I can go without sharpening PE H1 since discovering how I can enhance its edge retention for my uses by using a thin, coarse edge. It kept cutting over a month past when it lost all scrape shaving ability.

I'm sure there's people that use their knives harder and for longer tasks than I, that wouldn't see the same results. If your uses are day to day casual stuff it's entirely possible to only need to sharpen a Pacific Salt PE H1 4-6 times a year. I'd imagine the same is true for H2 but I need to use my Stretch more to know for sure.

Even better than the LC200N Caribbean? Very good looking knife.

Is the SE deeper than the Caribbean? Seems like the Caribbean might be a smoother SE.

Well even though my username has Caribbean in it unfortunately all I own is the PE leaf…I would love to have the sheepsfoot SE version because that’s the only way I could answer your question about the depth of the serrations…maybe Sal or someone with both models will chime in on it and while the Caribbean is a stellar knife and I carry it quite often I’m a backlock fan at heart; that and the detent being weak even after I strengthened it brings it down a couple notches for me ( it’s come open a couple times IWB and once was not pretty for my ring finger 😬… I actually prefer no choil but this one feels really good to me…my dream Stretch XL LW Salt would be a TiCN blacked out version with the OG blade shape…that would trump every knife I own 😉

i would buy that. i actually like the old blade shape better. no hate for the straight spine, but i always thought the stretch was cool. a black salt with that shape would be sweet.

I figured you’d like that version LB cuz you my friend are the very person that convinced me to give the blacked out model a chance by posting pics of your Pacific and singing its praises…I’m not hating on the straight spine either as it’s piercing abilities are off the charts, I just prefer the OG shape…what’s ironic about that is I’m still looking for my first one in zdp189 🤣

I have an Atlantic Salt PE I could try this on. I tried coarse edges but did not want to take the time of thinning it out, considering how thick it is ! When you say thin, you go as low as around 10dps or maybe a little more ?

After getting my VG10 from KP in acid etch I have to say a blacked out would be a must buy for me . I think it’s a great idea . Dan
