I would buy one. I also would love to see more blade height when open.
After looking at the patented design, it appears it is restricted by the handle height.
It looks like a X scissor bars behind the blade might give the most movement in a compact handle, it could be activated by squeezing a pair of spring loaded slides together, which would be at the top of the handle, locking it in extended blade. Button unlock to snap it back up.

Just thinking out loud. 😆
