I mentioned this is another thread too but it appears to be exactly that, just blurple scales with the Colorado Flag image printed on somehow. I too would assume it is screen printed on.cycleguy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 5:45 pmCan anyone explain how the handle was done?
I suspect this is a silkscreen of red white blue yellow over blurple g10???? New out of the box the texture of the handle is less grippy than standard PM2 g10 but more grippy than PM2 smooth g10, and less grippy than PM2 carbon fiber. I suspect the finish filled the low areas and will eventually wear off the peaks, which should render a really cool worn/weathered look!
I was going to pass but being the Colorado kid I am (soon to be 60 years native), I had to get one.
Mostly over the initial price shock; and now enjoying the knife...
Get one while you can!

With actual carry and use, it certainly seems like it will wear down on the high spots of the scale texture. Not that I'll be the one to find out or anything, I'm just guessing. lol![]()
I'm sorry to disappoint but I have far fewer fans than the Nick you're thinking of. :o :)cycleguy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 7:07 pmEnjoy your vids!!! :)Mushroom wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 6:20 pmI mentioned this is another thread too but it appears to be exactly that, just blurple scales with the Colorado Flag image printed on somehow. Here ya go.
The Colorado flag image is visibly printed on top of the scales. I will try to get a close up photo later today to show it better.
First photo shows the printed flag image wrapping over the edge of the scales and also shows how the printed image fills the "voids" in the peel ply texture. Also, the bottom scale is telling that it was originally a blurple scale before the image was printed on.
Thanks! I took a handful of others but these stuck out to me as the best of the bunch.
Thanks and sure thing!archangel wrote: Very nice! And thanks for the detailed pics. Interesting....
Thanks, I like your photo as well! I was considering a similar composition with the flag in the background like that.cycleguy wrote:Nice pics Nick!! I took one too... (my skills appear to be way below forum photography standard ... :o )
