Keep an eye on ebay I just bought one for $130.00 and free shipping from a seller I have purchased from before, they go as swiftly as they show up so set up a search with automatic email notifications.

The kapara hasn't been back up for purchase for months neither.
I was actually just about to buy a sebenza from the money I stored up from waiting since the beginning of this year..

I'm glad that Spyderco has what looks to be some red hot new models. They will hopefully more than offset some duds like the Drunken and the Tropen.

What was wrong with the Tropen? I know about the pocket clip on the Drunken but would not call it a dud based on that, Is there something else amiss with the Drunken other than being overpriced?

The Tropen has an exposed edge. The Drunken has a bad clip. I don't own either one, just going off of what I've read. The rest of us will have to wait six months for the second run and hope we can find one then.
I really wish Spyderco would stop being so stinking conservative with their first production run numbers. It's ridiculous that new models sell out in five minutes. Even the SFO sold out in minutes, if not seconds. I understand there are risks with new models, but there is also the risk of running off your customers because they are frustrated that they can't purchase the models they want.

I hope mine shows up soon... Blade HQ emailed me that mine was going to ship Thursday or Friday last week. This morning they sent me a message that they made a mistake and they still haven't received them and have no ETA.

Got mine today, I am impressed. The grip is neutral and the gentle curve of the handle is nice. Flipping action is sweet, especially when I hit it with the Nano. The whole piece is smaller than I imagined, but that's just fine. Deep carry clip is on point. The index hole is functional I would say, a good place to grip the knife with pinching finger and thumb tips. And when closing the knife, it is as easy as closing, say a Lil Native, with one handed action and wrist encouragement; the thing is gonna smooth out later. Here, some comparison photos:
