I ordered mine a little late and have not gotten an email yet. Is Jeff going to have to call and collect credit card information for 800 people (minus some who ordered multiples)?

They will send you an email asking for you to call them.

Part of me thinks this is a lot of hullabaloo about a PM2 in CTS-XHP ... tho I'm glad I ordered one, and am sure it will be a good knife.
I think I'm a little more jazzed about getting a Ti Chaparral ... more waiting tho ... I must be masochistic ...

For all you that got an email telling you to call and give your CC info.. Did you use Paypal? or is everyone getting asked to call and give their CC info again?

You know, Jeff is such a great guy. I asked him to charge me the additional USD 5 in relation to the USPS postal charges increase but he still billed me for the original amount. I don't want Jeff making a loss on my account.

Then again, this is the second time.

Maria at CS said the problem was that the origional CC orders were posted but not charged, after a month the bank clears the orders since they hadn't been finalized.
I don't think CS had gone through this situation before, so they're working after-hours to get everyone's order re-processed and sent out.
I left a message on their phone with my name and telephone number and was called back within an hour.

Okay. From what I've been seeing, just those with 12/29/11 order dates have been getting the email, right?
My order was placed 12/30/11 around 2pm est. No email yet.
The whole thing they have going on over there at CS has me worried I'll slip through the cracks. :(
A senseless worry, but a worry nonetheless.
I walk away slow tonight,
and cut through the air
with a curse, like a knife.

Don't worry, mine was 12/30/11 and I haven't recieved an email yet either.

If you still have your order confirmation, reply to it and ask Jeff where you are at in line. Heck he may just go ahead and ship yours out.

Yeah, I tried that yesterday (or the day before? I forget..) No reply.
I'm not terribly worried, as long as the only thing lost was the CC info.
I just hope there wasn't some other "erase all dark-star29s crap" glitch :D

He better not ship his out before mine. I ordered before him and if Jeff does that I'll never buy another knife from CS...ever, even his dealer exclusives like this one.

I'm in the same boat! I've used my M390 version plenty, scratches and all... dropped it on the asphalt once and put a nice ding in the G-10 too (kinda bummed about that one, but it adds character!). I really like the way M390 sharpens and takes an edge. I'm eagerly waiting to give the CTS-XHP a try, from what I hear it's comparable anywhere from D2 to ZDP-189; but time will tell.

Is this the first Spyderco offered in Orange G-10 with super steel? The other models that come to mind were CPM-S30V, and VG-10.

I'm 12/29 with an order about an hour after the latest posted here with no word of any kind. If it doesn't ship soon I might have to ask for delayed shipping or something like that since I'm going to be out for three weeks.
