I am so excited. An acquaintance, who has just been elevated to my best friend in the entire universe, called to tell me that he found almost everything on my list at the SFO sale: Barong, Chokwe, Rock Lobster, Orange UKPK, ZDP189 Stretch 2, Spyderhawk, etc.

Now the hours and days will slowly crawl by as I await THE PACKAGE.

I got there at 6:30 and found 50+ people already lined up. I counted. I got inside at the very tail end of the first wave, but the good stuff was all gone at that point. I did score the last two Centofante 4s for spares and a Centofante 3 for $25 each. Minor cosmetic issues. Some diamond rods for my sharpmaker, $10 each, a kitchen knife, $10. That's about it. Fondled a lot of knives, but restrained myself from buying anything I wasn't going to use.

I probably won't go again, it was a long drive and long wait for not much on my look-for list, although it was well worth doing once. If you ever go, go early if you can, you're going to spend the same amount of time in line either way, but at least you'll be one of the ones picking things over while others wait.

Woot! good scores today. I didnt get there as early as I wanted. My budies slowed me down a smidge, and as you say, I'm kinda off my feet, so I was relying on them. Those that I was shoping for, you will hear from me shortly.

I got there around 6:50, so I was in the second wave. I picked up a Manix 2 for $30, a Kopa Stacked Wood for $25, a Chicago ( or Cat not sure) for $10 and a Catbyrd for $10. I'm not sure why any of them were seconds. It was worth standing in line for a couple of hours.

Good score on the Manix, I'd have grabbed it if I'd seen it. The beginning of the first wave basically filled their baskets with everything in sight and then went off to the corners to sort through it and decide what to keep. I didn't have the patience to wait for stuff to trickle back to the tables. Pretty rude behavior, if you ask me. I did have a shot at a nice Rock Lobster and a Phoenix that floated back, but the Rock Lobster didn't fit my hand and the Phoenix was both too heavy and too blunt in the tip for me to drop $50 on either of them. I only buy what I'm going to use.

What I can't believe is that there is already stuff on eBay that most likely came from today's sale (given the seller's location). At least they are honest about the stuff being factory seconds.:

Glad to see the accident didn't keep you away.

So what was the one knife you wanted for yourself?

Also out of curiosity, what did the Leafstorms go for?
