btw blerv thank you very much. i check this thread daily as i also have no life... :)
i like to stay on top of things and get them asap. i ordered the chi/cat early on before they disapeared cause of monitering your new knives update thread. compiling 5 different forum postings into one for us lazy people is very helpful. thanks again

SmoothOne25 wrote:does "da auto" mean a double action auto? oh god that would be f"ing sweeeet! that is when you depress the button to open and close right? like on an OTF auto? i cant even imagine a double action spyderco auto would look like when it use
I think DA auto does mean double action, but I took it to mean you could either choose to open the knife with the button or use your thumb to manually open the knife the same way you would on your non-auto Spyderco.

I'm kinda waiting on the new flatground D4's. Do we know what handle colors were chosen?

I don't have answers for either of those sadly.

I think Sal said they would have colors picked for the E/D4's in early 2010.

Any more info on the FRN UKPK release? I just saw that KC has some G10 ones in stock and I'm tempted, but only tempted enough if these are more than a month or so out.

Everything I have read puts these on the list as the next to be released or close too it. I wouldn't feel bad for grabbing a g10 version but the frn will be at a msrp of about $59.95 if my memory serves me right (the links won't lie on specifics. That would make the street price dang cheap.

Goodluck with either choice :) hope I don't lead you astray either way.

Nope thanks, I had heard that it will be out soon as well but just wanted some confirmation. The MSRP of that knife is what makes it so appealing to me, perfect for a poor college student like me! I'm traveling to Europe late in January and really don't have any options besides swiss army knives, and I'd like to increase my options a bit before then, but I have a few other ideas besides the UKPK that I'd like to try so either way it's not a huge deal.

I'm curious to know more about the sprint run of the CF Walker (model 22 if I'm correct). Is it still coming up? It was one of the most attractive Spydies ever. I'm also curious if it will feature those blue screws again.

Not sure if cf, I think I have a link for it on the main page. It will be zdp189 and should be a sexy sprint :)

Thanks all.

Also put some note of the Titanium Catbyrd in the "concepts" section. Don't know where that thread went but will be a good reminder.
