The first part (YUL) is the airport code for the city where I was born and the second part refers to my favorite place to chow down when I visit home.

Well I hail from a town in the heart of the Welsh valleys called Merthyr Tydfil, the town is about one thousand five hundred years old, it takes it's name from the daughter of a Welsh celtic prince who rule this area at this time her name was Tydfil, his daughter was murdered by a group of barbarians because she refused to give up her honor she knelt and prayed to God and Martyred herself for her faith, that's where the name Merthyr Tydfil comes from, mine is just a play on words with a twist probably been watching the Soprano's to much, Merthyrmafia.

I went to Southern Methodist University, home of the Mustangs. Our mascot's name has always been Peruna, named after a "medicinal" elixir in vogue in the Dallas-area during Prohibition for its amazing alcohol-like qualities. I've always liked the name, so I continue to use it.

"amar" is short for Amarendra, my real name. While Amarendra is made of Amar (Immortal) + Indra (God) = God of the Immortals = God of Gods. My parents gave it.
Ah, actually there is this interesting story around my name. My mom wanted "Rajendra" (Raja + Indra = King of Gods), but around that time we had a spate of murders and the killer was Rajendra. My grandpa said a strict No to this name, and thus I became Amarendra. Haha! :-)

Awesome. I've been looking for an excuse to share this.
Back when I first got a blog (since deleted), the confirmation question ("what letters are in the picture") was "daundu," which jived with me for some reason.
Through the wonder of the internet, I discovered that the word means "blessing" in a dialect of Arabic.

Been using jabba359 since I was a teenager. First part refers to Jabba the Hutt (don't know why I chose him, as he is one of my least favorite Star Wars characters...maybe because all the Fetts and Vaders were already taken).
The 359 is a reference to Wolf 359, where the Federation first gathers to battle the Borg in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Best of Both Worlds, Part II.
Obviously, I'm kind of a sci-fi nerd.
