I am interested in a forum knife. But I am interested in any Limited Edition Spydercos. I would be up for two, maybe more depending on which knife it is. I would prefer a larger knife, such as a Military or even a Chinook.

Sal,
without hesitation sign me up for a new military.I've been waiting on this event for quite a long time.I'll definetly be waiting for the go ahead now that it's so close.I just hope my wife don't find it first, she's been eyeing my mili for way to long.

I would sure have no problem swinging one or two. I would have liked to see it with Spyder Edge or (Or 50/50 to make it standout and to satisfy both) but I can work with plain edge

Glad to see this is continuing to roll along.
I would like to throw in a vote for serial numbering beyond the "collector 200", so that ours run, 201, 202, etc.

To make the Forum knife stand out, it should have some outstanding handles, such as the Blue Native Bladeforum knife. That is really a beautiful knife. How would those handles look on the Military or Chinook???

My first post here, and its a promise to buy another knife. No wonder my wife hates the internet. ><g>
I will take either/both of the suggested forum knives(plainedged). Both are great choices.

Ron, I thought the BF Native was hideous but that's me, confused and aesthetically challenged. I reckon a Mil with inlays is still the way to go.

Well whichever is the general consenus and Sal decides I will take one. I like the idea of the military though myself.

Haven't checked this thread for a few weeks.
I would love to have a forum knife but neither the centofante model or pearl scales work for me.
I think the newer proposal of a really classy variant of the military is a brilliant idea. If this is the one to go ahead, count me in.
Thanks Sal, Thanks Clay.

I don't want to cause more trouble <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> but this idea came to me this morning as I clipped my Military IWB for the day. Maybe the forum knife would look better with smooth G10 scales. It would make the knife more distinctive and be a nice contrast to the pearl inlay. I figure this knife isn't going to get much hard use and, in any case, the handle ergonomics give a pretty secure grip.

Is it possible Sal?

I sit here flicking open my Military and Centofante Jr and trying to visualize the suggested enhancements.
I can easily see the pearly G10 adding class and distinction to the C25, butt............. I really have trouble reconciling pearl inserts on the Military.
I would much rather see a colored G10. Preferrably a muted tone like khaki tan.

My $0.02 (backed by my checkbook) ><g>

It's possible, Clay, but probably not preferred by the majority.

I can say that I just approved a model for the forum. It's a black G10 Military model with a pearl "Bug" (Spyderco logo) inlaid in the handle. Jeff says we could have them in December. They will all be plain edge. We will make 500 pcs. Individually numbered (1 of 500, 2 of 500, etc).

The forum pieces will be engraved "Spyderco Forum 2000".

Collector club Forumites will have the option
to get their number with the forum engraving. Forumites that order them either through your normal source or from SFO will have the choice of available numbers. Also engraved.

The pieces not taken by collectors or forumites will be sold WITHOUT the "Spyderco Forum" engraving.

Hope this "Collector" piece is enjoyed.

I want one, I want one. Thanks Sal, now I have to add another knife to the want list. Better just sell all my other stuff and wait for new spydie's to come out.

Well Sal, I guess that just goes to show I really am a prize trouble maker <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>. Seriously that's great news, I think the knife will be very popular with the forum judging by the responses here. Now I know what my Christmas present is going to be, I just hope our dollar goes up a bit in the meantime so that I can afford it <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>. BTW I just received an application form for a teacher exchange in 2002. I was thinking of Canada but Colorado is on the list. Good skiing <b>and </b> Spyderco, might have to think again <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>.
