Hi guys. I do not have any black blades at this point. Now i am starting to build up a collection of para 2's and i am also looking at the black bladed ones.
And now since i do not have experience with them i wonder how good is the coating? If you use it does it scratch quickly?
And if anyone has a picture of a wel used one i would love to see it. :D

No pictures of a used one, as I sold my well-worn Digi/DLC PM2 (read: dummass), but I can tell you that it wears VERY well.
I carried and used it for almost 2 years, and it would get scuff or rub marks from time to time, but that was about it - the coating was never compromised, and it stayed looking pretty good. You could tell it was used, but the coating stayed intact; and I did not baby that knife - it was a worker.

Obviously anything that would badly scratch the blade is going to scratch the coating, such as opening a soup can with your knife. I used that Para 2 everyday for well over a year and this was the only wear that the blade saw. Most of what you see on the logo side of the blade wiped off with some mineral oil.

There are some great pic's in this thread. Here's a simple pic of my PM2 (pre-new lanyard) from my phone and one from MECCA!

Chocolate velvet with a little bit of tactic, and a whole lot of teeth! Lol...

I think I've seen those flashlights on amazon before too when I got some ultrafires... is it as bright as they claim?

Gotcha, thanks for the reply.
I kind of like a patina developing on my M4 Bradley, but the black coat is always trick looking too!
