OT: Boots
OT: Boots
I have been in EMS (Emergency Medical Services) for the past 11 years now. During that time I have always worn lace-up combat/tactical style boots, primarily those made by Rocky. I recently made a switch to pull-on, or Wellington, style work boots (mainly out of laziness <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>). The ones I purchased were Justin Dual Comforts (about $150.00 a pair) and so far I've been happy with them. Much easier to take on and off during a long shift. I was just curious as to what type and brand/model boots other forumites who work in similar proffesions wear/prefer?

I prefer Altamas in uniform, especially the jungle boots for summer. I do alot of walking(1.5mi each way to work) and they wear really well. I also usually pick up a pair of cheap waterproof boots each year from sportsmansguide.com. By the end of winter they're usually trashed, but they serve their purpose.
White's 10" Packers when working inside. White's 375 Smoke Jumpers when outside (have had them rebuilt once). Both pairs polish up to a nice, shiney brown. www.whitesboots.com

My favorite boots are my PUMA jogging boots (for warm weather). During winter I wear some OTTER boots (don't know if this brand is known over the pond, but they used to make good shoes / boots).
