Cute little guy. Just don't over feed the puppy.
We fed our's table food, she should be around the 30lbs mark, comes in at 48lbs last time we weighed her. Fat border collie.
Got ours at 7 weeks in late 97, and I'm the only one here who actually plays with her. Talking on the floor wrestling and having teeth and claws mark me up... She bit me when she was about 6 months old, hasn't drawn blood since that first time.

Already been told when I move that she's going with me. She responds to me with hand signals alone. Still feed her beef jerky and pepperoni sticks if she sits around while I eat em.

Very cute dog. Now you should go out and buy yourself a dog-walking knife. You never know when you'll have to cut his leash in an emergency <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> !

Edit: trying to fix the smilie

How cute! We got our first puppy last summer - a male german shepherd/lab mix. Murphy is now 9 mos old and weighs in at about 65lbs. I just got done wrestling around on the kitchen floor with him just before checking this forum. Hope you have fun with Scout!

BTW - what kind of dog is he?

CKE,

You lucky guy.....Now give yourself and Scout the benefit of a good training regimen. You can have a wonderful devoted companion who will recognize you as the alpha dog of the pack. Anything else is likely to be less than the great experience it can be.

Congrats CKE!
I must underscore jaxon's words. Get good training and you will have a companion for a long time. Best investment money can buy is dog training. I have been through lazy corgis, willful german shepherds, and more. But they all turned out to be fun and intelligent companions.

Enjoy your puppy and take good care of him. The reward will come, you'll see.

Hello all

What a beauty! By the size of the paws it looks as though it is going to be a very large dog!

Good luck!

OH MY GOD!!! I have not had a goodnight sleep since Saturday. None of you guys could have warned me about the puppy being like a baby...maybe worse? He loves to be outside and with those big paws he hardly sinks in the deep snow. I think he is going to be very big. He is already 13.5 lbs at 8 weeks. He has round worm which I am told is common, other than that healty and happy. Thanks for the info on puppy school, he is going to be signed up asap. Take Care!!!
