I was cashiered out from the largest California city utility when the deregulation craze hit in 1998.(What folly that politicians are entrusted with important human tasks) I was a utility theft investigator and cut many an unauthorized connection from electric and water lines using my Spydies, and dykes, and loppers and pole-trimmers. In the last few years I got to play with computers and help set up a databased reporting and rebilling system to recover losses.

Haven't woke up once wishing to go to work.

Got a bunch of Spydies and its a joy picking current carry from them. Today its a Renegade for the yard and a Worker Commemorative for light duty.

Nice topic.

Job? What job? Yeah, it's hard to even remember what a job is anymore after being stuck in college. I am also a 'professional student' and I only manage to get my work in on breaks and summer leave. What do I do? Well, I work as a carpenter; building houses, garages, pole-barns, additions, and so-forth.
My brother is hoping to open his own constuction firm in the near future. Guess I'll have a job to go to once I'm on break, eh?

Cheers!

coming up on 11 months as a tarp maker...

my job for the last 2 has been sweet, working graveyard for 9.70 an hour... was a pain going up a tax bracket though(1.50/hr raise for graveyard). I made $50 a month more working at 8.20/hr.

I get paid to walk for 8hrs. literally. I pull off the roll for about 3hrs, and the other 5 I spent walking between tables pulling the fabric off just over a foot... 4 panels of 12' width, and then I fold. 70-85lbs every 4-5min depending how hard we feel like pushing.

I am kinda like Doctor Frankenstein....

.....I teach Law but I often wish I could strangle my creations at graduation. The world has far too many lawyers and far too few people who give a ****

Danzo!

Aha! I knew you had some nefarious hand in chipping away at a normal way of life and responsible legal recourse! A barrister brooder no less. 'Tis tough releasing legal-less-than-eagles into the wild before things like logic, responsibility, and ethics have matured. Bless you, Danzo, for your road is long with many a winding turn and, well, ......you have a lot to answer for.

Ever wonder why New Jersey has 90% of America's of toxic waste sites and California has 90% of our lawyers?

New Jersey got first pick!

Good to see you're still about.......

I'm A Licensed Veterinary Technician, a "registered nurse" for animals, however as nurses for people are for the most part, very specialized in the care they provide, I get to be an OR,ER and critcal care Nurse, Laboratory Technician, Anesthetist, Radiologist, and Dentist (cleanings, and extractions) every day, which makes the job very exciting. Though I don't need to use my Spydies at work much, right now I'm carrying a Black Micarta SE Calypso JR as my EDC.
