I lost a dear friend yesterday

Mourning the loss of our precious dog Stubbs. We were blessed with her for 16 years, and now she's forever a puppy running and playing in the fields of heaven. When we left the vets office yesterday, there was a rainbow in the sky, symbolizing her journey to a greater place.
Stubbs always gave us highfives and would shake hands when asked. I'm thinking about getting her paw print tattooed in the palm of my hand as a tribute to her. We laid her to rest on the side of a mountain next to a small pond. May she rest in peace

Sorry for your loss Don, there is a reason why they say dog is mans best friend, unconditional love is all they know, humans could learn a lot from dogs.

Sorry for the temporary hole in your family... Having my dog of 14.5 years put to sleep in 2012 was the hardest thing I've ever done and I cried more in that evening than I've cried since I was a child.

Hey guys,
I'd like to thank all of you for the kind words and thoughts.
It's been a very sad day, and I've cried so much.
Our house is not the same without Stubbies, and our other two dogs seem to miss her also.
She was such a special part of our lives, I feel honored to have been able to share her companionship and unconditional love for all these years.
I will miss you baby girl.
Later,
Don

Sorry for your loss! About one year ago I put my dog to sleep and since then I know very well how bad it hurts.

Always sad losing family. Loss is something we all have to endure in life's journey. It's nice to think about seeing family again someday though. :)

My condolences mate. It's always tough to lose a member of your family. When my last dog died it took me 2 years to get another one. I like Great Dane's and they don't live that long.

Take care

Sorry brother,

Having gone through that recently ourselves, I completely understand.
