Registering on Blade Forums?

#1

Post by MeJoomeok »

I registered the same time that I registered here. And I try to sign-on Blade Forums and it says thank you for signing on...But, I loop back to entering my Username and Password. What is the deal? Can anyone help a poor pathetic non-techy moron here?

Much thanks

Bladeforums does not work for me at all. Same thing happens, I can't use search or anything. After finally recieving a response to my many emails I was told that AOL does not work well with there system and that I should switch to something else. I did and http://www.knifeforums.com//ubbthreads/ ... s.php?Cat= works a hole lot better and the people that run the site seem to be a hole lot nicer. Just my opinion

Funny you would bring this up. I have NEVER been able to get on, even after trying to sign up. I can lurk all I want, but can't get my password to work, so I can't contribute.

Finally gave up. Any suggestions?

This is disturbing, that in their words, "...most popular knife discussion website in the world!" could be so difficult to use. Give me the Spyderco Forum any day! Although, I wish this one had more functions IMO. At least I am able to talk to you guys!!

I think that I had the same problems until I emailed for a password and, once I received it, I stayed logged on via the cookies. Now whenever I return to the BF website, I'm automatically logged in.

Here is something else I did not consider but a moment ago.

Maybe it is one of the largest because people had registered with them 5 or 6 times until their newest username started working!! Things that make you go hhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! After all, you can see that "Me Joomeok" is registered on that "un-mentionable" forum.

Ok, I'm getting off the soap box.

Guys, thanks again. I was beginning to think it was me. But, you solved my mystery!

Way back in the mists of time I seem to remember experiencing the same problem. Like KBR it was solved with cookies (had to change browser settings).

I've never had a problem, but I've been "there" awhile. I hope you can log on there. The more the merrier!! <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Locked me out as Chinook because of my using Hotmail as email address. Had to reregister as Coho with a different email addy. Never got any response to inquiries. Probably just a function of growing pains.
